APN General Meeting
We will be joined by Sheila Reynertson from NJ Policy Perspective on how the new gas tax deal impacts the average New Jerseyan and the ability of the state and non-profits to help low-income residents get by.
Joe Mangino, Sandy survivor and co-founder of the New Jersey Organizing Project, will share the story of struggle and recovery that communities continue to face. He'll also raise solutions and actions we need now, both to address disaster recovery and some of the underlying issues that Sandy exacerbated around economic security and stewardship of our coasts and resources.
Brandon Castro of the NJ Work Environment Council
will also join us to talk about an education initiative, in partnership with Les Leopold the author of Runaway Inequality, focused on connecting the seemingly distant issue of high finance directly to our grassroots struggles for economic and social justice.
All are welcome! You do not have to be an APN member to attend our General Meetings. However, please register so that we can appropriately plan for the meeting.
