As with all General Meetings, membership in the APN is NOT a requirement for attendance. All are welcome and encouraged to participate, and to bring information about programs, advocacy, or research relevant to anti-poverty work.
If you have a topic you would like to present at this or a future APN meeting, please contact email@example.com.
The meeting will be held in Weston Lecture Hall 2 in Weston Hall, home of the College of Architecture and Design at NJIT. There is a parking deck available. There is no fee for parking at the deck.
The NJIT parking deck is located on Summit St. near the intersection with Warren Street. Summit St. is one-way, so to access the deck you must turn onto Colden St. and circle around to the Summit St. parking deck entrance.
Please press the intercom at the entry of the deck to talk with the security office to raise the barrier arm. Say you are there for the Anti-Poverty Network meeting at the School of Architecture and that reservations were made by Prof. Schuman and approved at the deck. The deck fills up quickly and you will probably have to go to at least the 6th floor to find a spot.
When you leave the parking deck on foot, turn right across Warren Street, and proceed past the first building on your right, then you will see a long ramp, leading to the front door of Weston Hall. That entry puts you on the third floor, so you go down one flight, turn right down a long corridor, then left at end of corridor to Weston Lecture Hall 2.
Weston Lecture Hall is at the NW corner of Warren Street and Martin Luther Jr., Blvd. The entry however, is off Summit Street, one block west (up the hill) from MLK. People coming by transit should take the Newark Light Rail, Grove Street Line, to Warren Street. On exiting light rail, take stairs on right and continue to end of block at Warren Street. Turn left and walk one block down the hill to Summit Street. Enter the campus on Summit Street, walk past a one-story building on the right, and then turn right when you see masonry constructions. There is a long ramp leading to the entry to Weston Hall, home of the College of Architecture and Design. Once inside, go down one flight, turn right to end of corridor, then left to entry to Weston Lecture Hall II. Weston Hall is building #5.
