APN General Meeting

  • 30 Sep 2015
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • NJEA, 180 W. State Street, Trenton

Registration is closed

This General Meeting of the APN is the annual membership meeting, with membership votes on Board elections and the organizational budget.

The meeting will feature a presentation from the Legal Services of New Jersey Poverty Research Institute. The presentation will include an overview of current information on poverty in NJ, and some discussion of the implications that can be drawn from current data.  The data will be set against the backdrop of the most recent Real Cost of Living reports, and the fact that 250% of FPL is now the most accurate statewide benchmark for significant deprivation in at least one key area of basic life necessities.  Major changes in and discernible or predictable effects on key federal and state anti-poverty programs over the last year, will also be discussed.

As with all General Meetings, membership in the APN is NOT a requirement for attendance. All are welcome and encouraged to participate, and to bring information about programs, advocacy, or research relevant to anti-poverty work.
